Ren and Stimpy layouts--Jim Smith
These are layout drawings by Jim Smith--not too many studios do layouts anymore. Spumco always did and it showed in the final product. You can more specifically tell the overseas studio how you want the drawing--otherwise they go from a rough storyboard and a model sheet. Sometimes it comes back looking like ass.

This piece of dance animation by Ken Harris from “Mississipi Hare” has been mistakenly credited to Virgil Ross in a few different places, but the drawing style is Ken Harris , it looks nothing like how Virgil Ross drew the rabbit, and it comes from a Chuck Jones-directed cartoon.(via InklingStudio)
